Lutheran High Northeast football to open season on Friday at Winnebago

The Lutheran High Northeast football team starts up their 2019 season on Friday when they visit 0-1 Winnebago for a 7:00 game. 

The Eagles return seven players with starting experience from last year’s 9-2 team that were eliminated by eventual champion Creighton in the ‘D-1’ playoffs.  Their schedule includes home games with Omaha Nation, Howells/Dodge, Laurel/Concord/Coleridge, and Neligh/Oakdale.  Lutheran High Northeast will visit Winnebago, Wakefield, Elkhorn Valley, and Madison.

The Norfolk High softball team routed South Sioux City in a single game last night at home 12-0.  Sydney Rader twirled a three-inning no hitter and hit a home run as the Lady Panthers improved to 9-7 on the season.
