LINCOLN - Lutheran High Northeast became one of just 10 teams in the state to end their season with a win, defeating Superior and Husker recruit Kalynn Meyer 25-15, 19-25, 25-18, 25-21 in the Class C2 third-place match on Saturday at Lincoln East.

Becca Gebhardt led the Eagles with 25 kills. Lutheran High closed its season with a record of 31-7.

BLOOMFIELD — On a cold and blustery Tuesday afternoon and with a snow-covered field, the Falls City Sacred Heart Irish rolled into Bloomfield and turned back the undefeated Bees, knocking them out of the Class D2 state football playoffs with a 36-0 victory.

OSCEOLA – Top-seeded and undefeated Howells-Dodge led 14-0 less than 7½ minutes into its Class D1 quarterfinal game, but Osceola/High Plains methodically churned out the game's final 28 points to end the Jaguars' season 28-14 here Tuesday night.
