LINCOLN — It had been 24 years since a Norfolk High girls swimmer capped an individual event at the state swimming and diving championships with a gold medal celebration in the Bob Devaney Sports Center pool.

LINCOLN — Norfolk swimmers set three school records and tied another Friday during the preliminaries of the Nebraska State Swimming Championships at the Bob Devaney Sports Center natatorium.

LINCOLN — Norfolk’s Cayd McCarter came in fourth at the Nebraska State Diving Championships with a total score of 439.20, which was a new school record.

The hard work is done. What remains is how a season of preparation will play out this weekend at the state swimming and diving meet for the Norfolk High Panthers.
