The Panthers saw improvements in their short game and powered through a late downpour at the Heartland Conference meet on Thursday at the Norfolk Country Club. 

Kyla Robinson finished first among Panthers and 32nd overall with a final score of 103.

Nicole Kolbas of Lincoln Pius X finished in first with a 73. Lincoln Southwest won the team championship with a 315.

The Norfolk High School wrestling program has adopted a girls wrestling team that will compete throughout the season, culminating by the chance to qualify for and compete in a girls division as part of the Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament.

Norfolk High had five seniors graduate following an 8-16 season a year ago, but two primary contributors return in seniors Kamari Moore (11 points per game) and Colby James (8 ppg) from a team that finished just four made 3-point shots (189) short of tying the school record of 193.
