Howells-Dodge outlasted Wakefield 30-28 in a battle of Class D-1 juggernauts in Howells with a defensive stand at the end of the game and a stubborn offensive showing all night.

The Jaguars lost their quarterback in the first half then held on in the second half to give the Trojans their first loss of the season.
