A MEDICAL HELICOPTER landed in Norfolk on late Tuesday afternoon following an industrial accident.

NORFOLK — Few details were available late Tuesday afternoon when a medical helicopter landed in a church parking lot.

Norfolk Fire & Rescue personnel said one person was injured in an industrial accident here in the city. The person will require treatment at a trauma center, a rescue worker said.

A LifeNet helicopter landed at St John’s Lutheran Church parking lot at 13th Street and Benjamin Avenue and picked up the injured person at about 5 p.m.
