Nine new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Madison County this week.
The numbers are part of an uptick in the number of positive COVID-19 tests the Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department is reporting in its four-county area.
On Thursday, the health department said 19 new cases were recorded throughout its four-county area, bringing the total number of positive cases to 527. Of those cases, 441 have recovered and 80 active cases remain.
Elkhorn Logan Valley includes Madison, Stanton, Burt and Cuming counties. Since Monday, Stanton County added one additional positive test, Cuming County posted six and Burt County posted three.
