STANTON — A 19-year-old Stanton man made his initial court appearance Monday on a misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide charge in Stanton County Court.

Ried Krutz was charged following an investigation into the fatal accident on May 6 in the death of James Hoff, 63, Norfolk, said Stanton County officials.

Krutz was charged following an investigation into the accident on Highway 24 east of Norfolk by the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office.

Krutz appeared with his attorney and is now scheduled to return to county court for a pre-trial conference in August.
