Arrest action NDN

A report of a physical disturbance Tuesday night lead to the arrest of a man for domestic assault.

Capt. Mike Bauer with the Norfolk Police Division said officers were called to a residence in the 700 block of Spruce Avenue at 11:13 p.m.

When officers arrived, a male was holding down a subject identified as Riley D. Hare, 23, Bauer said.

Officers were told that Hare had assaulted a female at the residence and was being restrained by witnesses.

The alleged victim stated that she and Hare were engaged in an argument, and it escalated to Hare striking her and pulling her hair.

Witnesses at the scene also confirmed the assault, Bauer said.

Hare was arrested for third-degree domestic assault. He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
