While everyone else was fleeing the Carolina coast, Jimmy Buffett went running toward it . . . with a surfboard in his hand....MAYBE.

Yesterday, Jimmy posted a picture of himself and another dude on Folly Beach in South Carolina, holding surfboards, with the text, "That hurricane swell."

In the caption he said, quote, "I ain't afraid of dying, I got no need to explain. I feel like going surfing in a hurricane." And he hashtagged it, "FollyBeachSurfing"

Now, for you non-Parrotheads, Jimmy actually has a song called "Surfing in a Hurricane", and that "I ain't afraid of dying" jazz is a line from it. So he could have been joking. Especially since the caption also says, quote, "On a serious note: Respect mother nature, please be safe and listen to your local authorities."
