Wahoo's Thiele claims 45th Nebraska Women's Amateur Championship

Wahoo’s Haley Thiele won the 45th Nebraska Women’s Amateur Championship Friday afternoon at York Country Club. 

She finished the three-day event at 220 and won by eight strokes.  Columbus’ Aspen Luebbe put up a 247, Snyder’s Hannah Hunke shot 248, Norfolk’s Allison Temple finished at 255, and Hartington’s Cassidy Ulrich shot 273.  There were three flights in the Non-Championship Division, which was a two-day event. Elkhorn’s Sarah Nordlund won the First Flight after shooting 169.  Norfolk’s Nita Totten carded a 184, Donna Utecht shot 190, and Bev McKillip finished at 198.  Bev Guzinski won the Second Flight after shooting 191.  Cairo’s Pat Hancock claimed the Third Flight with a score of 224 while Norfolk’s Phyllis Hall carded a 244.
