52nd Nebraska Match Play continues on Wednesday

The 52nd Nebraska Match Play continues today at The Players Club in Omaha.  The field has been cut to 32 players and seeded into a match play bracket. 

Match play begins today, with the Rounds of 32 and 16, followed by the Quarterfinals and Semifinals on Thursday, and the 36-hole Championship Final on Friday.  Parkville’s Tanner Owen earned the overall top seed after shooting a two-day 135.  He earned the top seed by a four strokes.  Plainview’s Tucker Knaak finished third at 140 and Matthew Schaefer of Fordyce carded a 145 to tie for eleventh place.  Both made today’s cut.  Not making the cut were Norfolk’s Kellen Rossman’s 153, Columbus’ Bryce VunCannon’s 163, Atkinson’s Mason Hale’ 163, and Columbus’ Sam Morse’s 178.
