RANDOLPH — Marietta D. Thunker, 48, of Randolph died Sunday Feb. 19, 2012, at Colonial Manor.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Frances Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Swanton officiating and burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday with a 6:15 p.m. rosary at Johnson Funeral Home.
She was born June 21, 1963, at Norfolk, the daughter of Ronald and Elizabeth (Dreismeier) Thunker. A 1981 graduate of Norfolk High School in Norfolk, she graduated from Northeast Community College with an associate’s degree in data processing in 1986 at Norfolk.
She was employed at Dale Electronics in Norfolk, Kolterman Farm Equipment in Pierce, Nebraska Appliance Center in Norfolk, dispatcher at Cedar County Sheriff’s Office in Hartington, Dunham’s School Bus Services in South Sioux City, worked as a bus driver/janitor at Laurel Public School and Randolph Public School as a bus driver, and was employed at Jim’s Food Center in Randolph.
She was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Randolph. She enjoyed raising dogs, exotic pets, horses and riding her motorcycle.
Marietta is survived by her three children, Beth and Josh Legate of St. Joseph, Mo., Kyle Thunker of Grand Island, Ryan and Kara Thunker of Doniphan; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis and Angie Thunker of McLaughlin, S.D., Paul Thunker and Janet Hanson of Norfolk and Richard Larsen of Randolph.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Music will be by guitarist/cantor George Bradley with “Amazing Grace” and “On Eagle’s Wings.”
Pallbearers will be Larry Lackas, Bill Fye, Jerry Synovec, Randy Gubbels, John Gubbels and Nick Gubbels.
