Lynn Green

O’NEILL — Services for Lynn Green, 69, of O’Neill and formerly of Chambers. will be at 10:30 am Monday, July 8, at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill with burial to follow in the Chambers Cemetery. Steve Randolph will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Biglin’s Mortuary with a 6 p.m. prayer service.

He died Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Arbor Care Center in O’Neill.

1950-2019

Lynn Eugene Green was born Feb. 26, 1950 in O’Neill to Harold and Florence (Taylor) Green. He was raised on several ranches in the Bartlett, Albion and Chambers area. He graduated from Nebraska Christian High School in Central City, in 1968.

After graduation, he worked for the Garwood Ranch in the Chambers area for almost 30 years. He then worked for his brother, Wayne, at Green Acres Station in Chambers for 15 years, before retiring in 2015.

Lynn enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel Music, watching movies and documentaries, and going to the horse and cattle shows at the Holt County Fair.

Lynn is survived by his four siblings, Lloyd (Sharon) Thorin of Norfolk, Wayne (Linda) Green of Chambers, Naomi Green (Jerry Mizner) of Fairmont, Tim (Caryn) Green of Wood River; nine nieces and nephews; and five great nieces and nephews.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Green in 1999 and Florence in 2005.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill is in charge of arrangements.

MADISON — Services for Irene C. Reigle, 93, Madison, will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 22, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Madison. The Rev. Donna Goltry will officiate. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Madison.

CEDAR RAPIDS — Services for Lynn A. Choat, 80, St. Edward, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. The Rev. Brian Ketelsen will officiate with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion.

NORFOLK — A celebration of life for August G. Volk, 76, Plainview, will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Kelly’s Country Club west of Norfolk. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 16, VFW Post 1644 and the U.S. Army Honors Guard at 5:30 p.m. at Kelly’s Country Club.

PIERCE — Services for Elizabeth A. Scholl, 89, Wayne, are pending at Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Pierce.

WISNER — Services for MaryAnn Jindra, 79, Pilger, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 18, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk. Burial will be in the Pilger Cemetery.

HARTINGTON — Columnist and motivational speaker Joan Rossiter Burney, 90, Hartington, died on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Country House in Lincoln.

Death notices, which include information about when and where a person died, funeral services, burial and visitation for the deceased and memorial information, are published free of charge.

If families of the deceased desire to have an obituary printed, there is a fee charged for doing so. Because of that, families of the deceased can decide what information they want included in the obituary, as well as if they desire to have a photograph published along with it.
