NORFOLK — Memorial services for Judy A. Bader, 66, of Norfolk will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church with a rosary at 7 p.m. under the direction of Home for Funerals.

She died Monday, June 18, 2012, at Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk.

Judy was born on Sept. 9, 1945, at Albion, the daughter of Walt and Jane (Seier) Goetzinger. She graduated from St. John the Baptist School, Petersburg.

Judy married Fred L. Bader on Jan. 14, 1967, at St. John's Catholic Church, Petersburg. She raised three children and then went to work for Lou's Thrifty Way and then for many years as a cashier for Menards until retiring last September.

Judy is survived by her husband, Fred Bader of Norfolk; three children and their spouses, Roger (Melissa) Bader of Yankton, S.D., Jackie (Adrian) Mayer of Norfolk and Kirk (Jessica) Bader of Norfolk; two sisters, Mary (Jim) Redler and Sandy (Don) Hilger of David City; six grandchildren, Vincent (Adrienne) Bader, Chad Bromely, Shelby Mayer, Blake Mayer, McKenzie Bader and Devon Bader.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Obituary policy

The Daily News publishes death notices and obituaries on a daily basis for Norfolkans, area residents and former residents.

Death notices, which include information about when and where a person died, funeral services, burial and visitation for the deceased and memorial information, are published free of charge.

If families of the deceased desire to have an obituary printed, there is a fee charged for doing so. Because of that, families of the deceased can decide what information they want included in the obituary, as well as if they desire to have a photograph published along with it.

Norfolk and area funeral homes have detailed information about placing an obituary in the Daily News. If individuals want to submit obituary information themselves, it can be emailed to funerals@norfolkdailynews.com or faxed to (402) 644-2080.
