LINCOLN — David P. Nutter, 70, Lincoln, died Saturday, May 11, 2013.

He was born April 11, 1943, to Perry and Dorothy (Wilkie) Nutter. He was an Air Force veteran and retired electronics technician for Quebecor Printing. He was an avid trout fisherman.

 He is survived by wife Susan; daughter Elizabeth (Neal) Perkins, Lincoln; brothers Ben (Alice) Wilkie, Couderay, Wis.; John Nutter, Puyallup, Wash.; sisters Sally Roberts, Betty (Bob) Niedfelt, Barbara (Tom) Townsley, Robin (AJ) Rowland, all of Grand Island,  Dorothy (Fred) Salmon, Aurora, Pamela Lyons, St. Joseph, Mo.; sisters-in-law Cindy Nutter (Mark) Thompson, Grand Island, Joan (Terry) Stolle, Lincoln, Jane (Arvid) Warneke, Ellen Sothan; parents-in-law Don and Mildred Praeuner, all of Battle Creek.

He was preceded in death by parents, brother Daniel, brother-in-law Vernon Roberts.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1800 S. 84th St. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, are to Salvation Army or Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Condolences online are at www.aspenaftercare.com.

Obituary policy

The Daily News publishes death notices and obituaries on a daily basis for Norfolkans, area residents and former residents.

Death notices, which include information about when and where a person died, funeral services, burial and visitation for the deceased and memorial information, are published free of charge.

If families of the deceased desire to have an obituary printed, there is a fee charged for doing so. Because of that, families of the deceased can decide what information they want included in the obituary, as well as if they desire to have a photograph published along with it. The Daily News reserves the right to edit. 

Norfolk and area funeral homes have detailed information about placing an obituary in the Daily News. If individuals want to submit obituary information themselves, it can be emailed to funerals@norfolkdailynews.com or faxed to (402) 644-2080.

People needing additional information about death notices and obituaries can call the Daily News at 371-1020 or (877) 371-1020 and ask for the newsroom.
