A woman who wouldn’t stop yelling at a man even after police became involved was arrested.

Montricia Taylor, 23, of Norfolk was arrested after police received a complaint in the area of 18th Street and Madison Avenue at 1:57 p.m. Wednesday.

The caller advised he had gotten into an argument with his girlfriend and was attempting to leave her vehicle and walk into his residence, said Police Chief Bill Mizner.

Upon arrival, officers observed a man walking away from Taylor, who was following him and yelling at him. The officers made contact with both parties and Taylor allegedly continued to yell at the man.

She told police she was upset that he had called police.

She was repeatedly told by the officer to stop yelling, but she continued to do so interfering with the officers’ attempts to talk to the man, Mizner said.

Following further investigation, Taylor was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace and obstructing a police officer.

She was booked into the Norfolk jail and later released on bond.
