Royal’s Zoo Nebraska might be gone, but its legacy lives on in Northeast Nebraska.

Author and freelance writer Carson Vaughan dived into all sides of this multifaceted story in his debut novel, “Zoo Nebraska: The Dismantling of An American Dream.”

He will be at Norfolk Public Library on Thursday, May 23, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. to read excerpts and sign book copies that will be available at the event.

During the presentation, Vaughan will be accompanied by Norfolk Daily News reporter Emily Case, who will serve as a moderator to help guide discussion of the book and its writing process.
