An Albion man was killed early Thursday in an accident in Boone County.

Shane M. Thome, 30, Albion, died in the accident that occurred about 12:25 a.m. on Highway 91, west of 225th Avenue.

Thome was traveling east on Highway 91 when he lost control of the vehicle, it entered the north ditch and rolled several times, ejecting him, according to a news release from the Nebraska State Patrol.

Seatbelts were not in use and the airbag did not deploy, the patrol said.

The accident was investigated by the Boone County sheriff’s office, the Albion Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol.
