Arrest action NDN

A Norfolk man known to law enforcement was arrested early Sunday morning after an officer saw him riding a bike in the 100 block of North First Street.

Capt. Mike Bauer with the Norfolk Police Division said the officer recognized the man as Brandon S. Prescott, 40.

The officer knew Prescott had an active arrest warrant, and he had contact with Prescott and confirmed the warrant.

When the officer instructed Prescott to get off of the bike, Prescott attempted to flee by running from officers on scene, Bauer said.

Officers caught Prescott and took him into custody. In addition to the warrant, Prescott was arrested for resisting arrest.

Prescott was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
