A Norfolk High graduate has been named Miss Nebraska USA 2017 — four years after being crowned Miss Nebraska Teen USA.

Jasmine Fuelberth was crowned Miss Nebraska USA this past weekend at the pageant at the Rose Theater in Omaha.

“There are some moments in life where there are just no words. ... I am speechless, and I feel like I am living in a dream! God is so good and deserves all of the glory!” Fuelberth wrote on her Facebook page. “For me, it is all about people, spreading love, giving encouragement, telling people they are valuable and loved, and that is my mission — not only this year but throughout my whole life.”

Fuelberth was crowned Miss Nebraska Teen USA 2013 as a 16-year-old student at Norfolk High — the first Norfolkan to win the Miss Nebraska Teen USA crown. She represented Nebraska in the Miss Teen USA 2013 Pageant.

As Miss Nebraska USA, Fuelberth will now compete in the nationally televised Miss USA pageant later this year.
