Because we all need to get away, particularly at this time of year, Business Insider teamed up with real estate site Zillow to find out the 25 most popular places Americans look to when purchasing a vacation home.

Long story short: It's pretty much the state of Florida. The top 10 most popular cities for vacation homes are in the Sunshine State, with Miami Beach taking the top slot.  Pompano Beach is #2, followed by Fort Lauderdale.

Similarly, Fort Myers ranks at #5, though Coral Springs, which is close to Fort Myers, is ranked #4.

That being said, other vacation-home hotspots can be found in Arizona, California, Texas, Hawaii and Nevada, according to U.S. Census data analyzed by Zillow.
